Chinese Red Envelopes, Hong Bao, May Good Things Happen, Pack of 6
Pickup currently unavailable
Delightful gold printed images stand out in the center of this celebratory red gift envelope. In Chinese tradition, peanuts were thrown in or under newly-weds' beds, originally to wish the couple the quick arrival of children! Later, peanuts came to represent a broader wish that good things in general will come to the couple. Therefore this gift envelope is especially suited for weddings. The red envelope itself (hóng bāo, 红包) in Chinese tradition is usually filled with money, but of course you can fill it with a hand-written note, a gift card, a photo, a small trinket, or anything else that lets you communicate your wishes of good fortune. Available in both Mandarin and Cantonese versions.
