Crinkle Tumbler #4

This ceramic vase is sculpted to resemble a crinkled paper bag. Designer Makoto Komatsu plays with form and texture in this piece, and pairs a soft appearance with a firm material in a way that will add an element of surprise to your home. He describes the "Crinkle/Crumble" series as the most important work of his career. Along with other pieces from the “Crinkle” series, this 1975 design is in MOMA's permanent collection.
